"Pilot's Choice" Chopper Tour

We were picked up at the famous "Red Dog Saloon" and driven to the airport, where we boarded a helicopter for what was to be one of the highlights of our Cruise. It's called "The Pilot's Choice" Tour because from time to time, the pilots make new discoveries of areas to explore and take their passengers to share in that exploration. Some pictures of the Blue Ice for now, and more of the glacier from the air...

A large chunk of ice has recently fallen off, exposing the blue core ice.

A crack in the glacier filled with water, about 5" wide, 40' long, 15'(?) deep.
